Delta Dolce Vita Write Balance with a patented and completely balanced body was designed to give each user their own personalized feeling of comfort when writing with the help of a built-in writing scale - a small "weight" made of metal that is inserted into a threaded cone at the bottom of the fountain pen; weight approx. 2.5g. It offers the possibility to choose the best personal balance of the pen body, depending on the user's grip and writing characteristics.
Without the "weight", i.e. when the inside of the small threaded cone is empty, the fountain pen has a center of gravity shifted slightly forward to accompany the hand when writing. Otherwise, the body of the fountain pen tends to remain neutral by adding the "weight", giving the user the opportunity to give their own calligraphic style an even more personal character.
As there is only a weight difference of 2.5g between the two balance options of the Delta, the different feeling may seem minimal, but will be crucial in terms of feel, comfort and ease of use, especially during long writing sessions.

The middle celluloid band is in the lava color of Vesuvius. The upper cap ring is made of 925 sterling silver and shows an old Roman decorative pattern that was found during excavations in Pompeii.
